Kenna + Josh [married]

Brace yourselves, kids.. this will be a longer than usual post. But why? Well because this couple and this fantastic wedding day is very dear to my heart. Where, oh where to begin? Once upon a Fall day in Joshua I met Kenna. She was a bad ass climber at the time and I was just a scrappy beginner that tried to muscle my way up the rock. I soon realized that it didn’t matter what level climber we were. That it’s the love of rock-climbing and coming together in an amazing place like J-tree that made the trip memorable. I was amazed at how friendly and incredibly remarkable everyone was there, including Kenna. POOOOOFFFFF. My obsession with rock climbing and the community began.

Since then we have visited Kenna at the Climbing gym, Vertical Hold, many times where I would get to know her better over the years. And then this rad chick meets this rad man of her dreams who also happens to be a total hunk. Not gonna lie.. I kinda Facebook stalked these two over the years and drooled over their fun and adventurous lives together:)

After meeting Josh I quickly realized how perfect him and Kenna are for eachother. You two make me so happy to do what I do. Thanks for being awesome. I was completely honored to capture their wedding on a beautiful Oakland summer afternoon. Enjoy!

stephanie + jesse [married]

Can someone please turn down the heat?!?! This has got to be the hottest summer in my San Diego history (28 years). This wedding day was no different- scorching hot. But that didn’t stop this beautiful bride and her handsome groom from ringing in their marriage to one another. They embraced the heat and all the warmth that radiated from their closest family and friends. Stephanie and Jesse are so perfect together in so many ways. They are the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. It’s really rewarding when your clients express how happy they are with their wedding photos. And that they will cherish them forever. It gives me such a level of happiness that I can’t come close to explaining. Imagine the best chocolate filled croissant at summit of a challenging hike. It’s like that only with unicorns escorting you on the descent. Makes me want to document their whole lives together. I’m betting we’ll see some beautiful babies in their future- here’s to hoping I can share those moments with you all:)

Laurel + Ross [Married]

Friends! How’s it going? I couldn’t more ramped up and thrilled about the past few weeks and the next few weeks. Why, you ask? Welp. Besides photographing three insanely awesome weddings and various shoots I’m finally back out surfing. And the water has been warm! Tomorrow I’m heading off on a road trip with my besties through the mountains of Colorado for music, biking, and video-making shenanigans. Keep an eye out for an EPIC video post. If that wasn’t already enough, I’ve got two amazing weddings the week I get back- one in San Francisco and another at The Condor’s Nest. EEEEEK. Can’t. Hardly. Wait. I truly feel SO BLESSED to be doing what I love doing- making wonderful friends and capturing lasting memories.

Which brings me to this fantastic wedding in Del Mar. Laurel and Ross are AWESOME. And if you don’t get why after finishing this post then… I don’t know but it doesn’t mater because you actually will find them truly fantastic. I seriously want to be their best friends. Just look at those mustaches and the bride’s smile. AND they’re going to Patagonia for their honeymoon!!! Laurel and Ross, thanks so much for welcoming into your family’s home to capture your wedding day. And Ross- don’t shave that mustache. EVER.

Oh, and there was a very talented second shooter helping me on this day. Jessica Wawrzyniak of Perfoto. Check her out!!!

Chris + Christina [Love Fest]

Yo Homies, how’s everybody doing? Hope you all haven’t melted away in this weather. More excuses to beat the heat eating fudgesicles and playing at the beach, if you ask me. It’s been a craaaaaazy busy past few weeks shooting back-to-back weekends in August. But it all started early in the month with this one:

This is not a wedding. This is a LOVE FEST!

Remember Chris and Christina from their e-sesh a few months back? I thought so. These two gorgeous people were kind enough to invite me to document their festival of love with their nearest and dearest family and friends. I was blown away with the amazing details that covered their wedding venue, Levyland Estate (all DIY I should add). It was a labor of love putting this beautiful event together and at the end of the day we all enjoyed hearing stories of two of the most kind, caring, fun, and wonderful people! Not to mention a kick-ass dance party that went through the night past curfew! Chris and Christina- you were made for each other and I wish you both a blessed marriage with lots of beautiful babies! Too soon? Ok- let’s plan some EPIC bicycle trips in the meantime:)
